Steve's Photo Page

This is a recent photo. I never felt that I was particularly appealing in black... but that is the style these days. Famous celebrities seldom wear bright colors!

If you see Tom Cruise or Harrison Ford  wearing a flowered shirt, let me know. On the other hand you never see Jimmy Buffett sporting a tuxedo!

If there were only one thing in life to dread it would surely be any photo session wherein you are the subject of the camera!

I've heard it said that lighting is everything and so have come to believe that I look my best in a room where all the lights are out! This photo comes from the same session as my newest CD 'Plunder and Pillage'.

Here am I mugging for the camera with my giant hand. Contrary to popular opinion I was not saying: "Sir, I have no recollection of working on the lawn crew... or not."
On the right, from the same session as my first recording 'Sandy Clams'. I actually look like this. I never imagined that people would begin to call me 'Sandy' (I suppose that's better than 'Mr. Clams').
What kind of an entertainer would I be if I didn't have a tuxedo? I don't wear mine often. Tuxedoes are innately uncomfortable and besides it generally needs to be back in the museum before dawn!
I opened for the UM Jazz band at the Musician's Exchange Expo in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.  Shortly after that I opened for Donovan and the 'Bobs' as well. The photo on the left is from those days. It was snapped by my girl friend at the time.

Photos below say a little about me and who I am on stage. Click 'Stages' to view additional performance photos. CD cover photos are also posted on every  recordings page. Or, you can browse print ready photos on 'The Poster Page'.

Thanks!
